2024 • Photography • Interface

Lumen

A study in light and patience: long exposures gathered into a single calm interface.

Lumen collects long-exposure photography into one quiet, scrolling surface. The premise was simple: give slow images the slow interface they deserve, with nothing competing for attention.

Pacing

Every transition is deliberately unhurried. Images fade rather than snap, and the layout breathes with generous margins so each frame has room to settle.

What it taught me

It taught me a lot about pacing. Removing motion and chrome made the photographs feel larger than they ever did in a busy gallery grid.
